Safety & Quality

This proposition shall be based on the following principles:

• Meeting the expectation of the clients;
• Maintaining a dialogue with the personnel, the clients, subcontractors, the community and other interested parties, aiming to exchange information and seeking participative solutions;
• Ensuring that all employees are provided adequate training to enforce the company´s HSEPQ policy and to perform their tasks in sound conditions of safety;
• Complying with the labor legislation, the environmental legislation and the especifc environmental commitments assumed by the company;
• Implementing management systems for identification, monitoring and control of the aspects and impacts related to safety, environmental and health issues;
• Improving the processes and incorporating new technologies aimed at the continuous improvement of the performance of the HSEPQ systems; and
• Conducting periodic audits to ensure conformity of its HSEQ policy.

This policy represents the commitment of all the company´s employees and its practice adds value to the business.

The managers captains and department heads of Delba Marítima Navegação S/A are responsible and will answer for the safety issues in their respective areas. Each employee, in addition to following the procedures to perform his or her work in conditions of safety, cleanliness and quality, shall be due to report to his or her senior officer any safety, environmental or health hazards that he or she might come to encounter.

Delba Marítima Navegação S/A shall periodically review the policy, its standards and procedures related to quality, safety, environmental and health issues.
